Why am I being redirected to MyMojo when I try to go to other domains?

MyMojo may have bought certain domains that you try to reach if you’re redirected here. Some domains provide their users with a way listen to free music by creating their own playlists of links that lead back to the main library of available songs. Now that those domains are nonexistent, those users’ playlists simply do not work anymore. Not to fear! The buyer of those domains (MyMojo) also provides users with a number of free tracks, ringtones, wallpapers, and videos from Signed and Unsigned Artists in our constantly growing collection to our users absolutely FREE downloading. Enjoy!?

Fees and Charges

Is MyMojo really FREE?

Yes! MyMojo is 100% free. All the content offered is FREE and so is the use of all our cutting-edge tools that you can use to create your own content. MyMojo enables our members to create, edit, store, and share digital entertainment media (ringtones, wallpapers, videos, games, and applications) free of charge.

MyMojo's revenue is advertising based, not member generated. MyMojo enables the user to respond to offers and advertisements or obtain content offered by partners. You may incur charges from partners or advertisers when you respond to their offers, but you will not incur any charges from MyMojo.

Because all phone plans are different, members are encouraged to verify plan limitations prior to downloading digital entertainment media. MyMojo is not responsible for charges incurred on your phone bill from your carrier. Many phones and carriers provide internet access as a part of their monthly plans. If a plan does not include internet access as part of the monthly fees, your carrier may charge you for the internet access needed to download the ringtones, wallpapers, videos, games or applications. Charges may also incur from text messages sent with verification code numbers, if texts are not included in your phone service plan. Many carriers include text messaging and internet access to mobile phones as part of their monthly fees. If this is the case, MyMojo content should not affect your billing payments in any way.

I was charged on my cell phone bill, who charged me?

Our site is free of charge. We do have ads and affiliates. You may have replied to an advertiser's posting on our site or obtained content belonging to one of our affiliates.

Carriers

What carriers do you support?

MyMojo supports most US carriers. Our current supported carriers are:

  • AT&T
  • Verizon Wireless (restricted to certain phone models)
  • T-Mobile
  • Sprint
  • Alltel
  • Boost Mobile
  • Virgin Mobile
  • Cellular One
  • Cincinnati Bell
  • Nextel
  • US Cellular

Despite the fact that not all carriers are supported, MyMojo supplies workarounds to get content to phones connected by other service providers. See our downloading issues section for workarounds on how to get content.

What countries do you support?

Our site currently provides services only to those phones with carriers in the United States.  We are working hard to expand our services outside of the USA. Check back often for further updates on our international expansion.

My Carrier is not listed on your site, but I have internet access on my phone. Will MyMojo work for me ?

If your carrier is not supported you won't be able to receive an SMS (text message), but after you click the "Get It" button on MyMojo, your content will be sent to "My Downloads" on the WAP site. Simply go to your browser, type (http://m.mymojo.com/), enter your user id and password, and click on "My Downloads". Select the content you want from there.

I have a supported carrier, but cannot get my content. Why?

Some carriers have disabled the ability of their cellphones to download ringtones. We have provided a list of those carriers:

  • Nextel
  • Boost Mobile
  • Telus Mobility
  • Verizon Wireless

* Although these carriers don't allow ringtones to be downloaded, you can download wallpapers and other content from MyMojo. We are working hard internally and with many of these carriers to supply content to as many members as possible, so keep checking our site.

Phones

Are there any phones that don't work with MyMojo?

Here is a list of phones that don't work for ringtones because the carriers have disabled the ability to use downloaded songs as ringtones:

  • Apple iPhone
  • Audiovox CDM-8915 (Snapper)
  • Audiovox CDM-8945
  • Cricket (all)
  • Kyocera KX9 (OYSTR)
  • LG VX5200
  • LG VX8100
  • LG VX9800 (The "V")
  • Nokia 6236I
  • Pantech PN-215
  • Samsung R-series
  • Samsung SCH-A850
  • Samsung SCH-A970
  • Samsung SCH-R400
  • Samsung SCH-R410
  • Samsung U-series phones (including the U520 and U420)
  • Sidekick II
  • Sidekick III
  • UTStarcom GzOne Type Z

* If you have one of the noted phone models you may still be able to download other MyMojo content. As long as your phone can receive text messages and access the internet or receive PIX messages (Verizon Wireless, and US Cellular), you should be able to get MyMojo content.

Because our content is FREE, you have absolutely nothing to lose!  The best way to find out if you can get content is to give it a try. Good luck and Enjoy!

Why isn't my phone available in the profile list?

We are constantly adding to our phone list. If your phone is not listed, choose "other" and you will still be able to receive content.

Downloading Issues

After I download content, I can't find the media in my phone to set as my wallpaper or ringtone, where can I find it?

Since every phone is different, you have to look at your phone's documentation to see where the download gets stored and if your phone allows you to choose downloaded content as a ringtone or wallpaper.

I haven't received any text messages when I click "get it", what's the problem?

There could be a few different problems. Check your profile and make sure your complete phone information is there. Your phone type does not have to be in the list to get content, click "other" and you can still receive content. Also, check the list of unsupported phones to see if your phone is listed or the unsupported carriers for ringtones and games. If you still aren't receiving messages, please let us know: support@mymojo.com. Be sure to put your specific phone make/model and carrier information.

* Remember that if your carrier is unsupported you can still download content through the WAP site: http://m.mymojo.com/wap/login

I am receiving error messages during my download, what happened?

Not all phone models support all file formats.  Check your phone documentation for file format support. We have workarounds to deliver content to most phones, check the general questions in the FAQ above for more information. If you think it's a technical problem please let us know ASAP and provide us with as much information as possible in order to resolve the problem: support@mymojo.com

There is a workaround for many Verizon Wireless phones, including the LG Voyager. To get a ringtone follow these directions:

Create your ringtone through MyMojo, or pick one that is already there. Login to http://m.mymojo.com/ from your computer or phone and download your edited ringtone. Send that file from your computer to "yourphonenumber"@vzwpix.com. When you get the message, many LGs will give you the option right away to set as ringtone. Others you will have to save the file to your phone's "sounds" or "ringtones" folder, then set as ringtone.

I'm getting e-mails and text messages when I click "get it", but I only want text messages. How can I change this?

You need to change your delivery method preferences. To do this, login to your account to access your profile and click one of the edit my profile links. From there you click on the preferences tab and on the bottom there is a drop down box with the delivery options (E-mail, phone, or both). Choose the one you want and remember to save your changes!

I am having trouble with the MyMojo website using Internet Explorer on a Mac.

Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer on Mac, so we can't support it either. Here's the scoop straight from Microsoft:

"Accordingly, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple's Safari".

I don't have internet access on my phone. How can I get MyMojo content into my phone?

MyMojo will always send you an email with your content. Go to your email inbox (if you don't see mail in your inbox, check your email's junk mail folder and make sure to mark the email as "not junk" for future MyMojo content deliveries). Open your email and click on the listed mobile link (i.e. http://m.mymojo.com/wap/elink/a4c50f5). On the next page click on the "Click Here To Download". You will see a popup menu from which you'll be able to select "Open" and "Save". Save the file to your computer and then transfer it to your mobile phone using whichever method (USB, cable, Bluetooth, etc.) is applicable to transferring information from your computer to your phone.

Why can't I get games?

Currently MyMojo games are not supported for the following carriers and/or devices:

Carriers:
  • Verizon Wireless
  • Alltell
  • T-Mobile
Devices:
  • Blackberry
  • Symbian
  • Apple
  • Palm

* If your carrier is supported and you still can't get games, let us know: support@mymojo.com

Creating Content

What does original content mean?

Original means that you own all applicable rights to distribute content. This usually means that you are the artist who did the creating. If you bought a song or CD from a store, this does not mean that you can share it with others. For more information, see our Terms of Use.

Offers take a few days to be posted. MyMojo has to wait for the company whose offer you answered to send us confirmation of the transaction. Let us know if after several days, the points remain unposted. For privacy issues we have no direct access to your page, but we will do a query in the database if you are still missing your points.

How do you know when you can get your money? Are credits equal to cents?

Points do not equal cents since the download ratio is determined by the total downloads per month divided by the ad revenue pool. For a complete explanation go to the "How To Earn" page. To check your earnings, go to "My Vault" then "My Content & Earnings" then click on the "View Report" link inside your "Downloads This Month" box.
